PAPARUA COUNCIL TO DISCUSS PROPOSAL A special meeting of the Paparua County Council ( is to be held on August 23, to discuss the amalgamation of counties. When the council met on Monday evening, county amalgamation was the first business before it, and it immediately went into committee. The discussion in committee lasted 65 minutes. Later the chairman (Mr W. F. McArthur) said it had been decided to hold a special meeting to permit full discussion, and to invite the Hornby County Township Committee to attend.
