PLAIN-CLOTHES PATROLS
WAGGONS AND TRUCKS TO BE USED (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 29. Plain-clothes traffic patrols would soon be equipped with station waggons and fight trucks, said the Minister of Transport (Mr W. S. Goosman) today to members of the Road Safety Council. This move, he said, would put a bigger percentage of traffic on the roads under suspicion by the average motorist. , , “Gradually we will get to the stage where all types of vehicles on the road could be a mufti patrol,” he said.
