£39,000 Air Terminal
Plans for a new combined passenger terminal at Whenuapai were handed to the Minister in charge of Civil Aviation (Mr T. L. Macdonald) this week by Mr John Seabrook, representing the Auckland International Airport Committee. The building will cost slightly more than £30,000, and construction is expected to start in the next few weeks. The latest plans are for a building to serve overseas and internal airlines. They are reported to have been approved by the major airlines operating to New Zealand, and It is believed that the terminal building has been designed so it can be transferred if a new airport is built *t Mange re.
