FOLLOWING upon the adoption by the Board of the report of its panel of overseas consulting engineers, detailed design of a large sewerage scheme has been commenced and constructional work will be started as soon as possible. The works scheduled for immediate construction are estimated to cost about seven million pounds, and are planned for completion within the next five or six years. They include both small and large sewers, tunnels, treatment plant structures, and other works.
