Jennings, of Pukekohe, was disqualified for five years by the committee of the Bay of Plenty Racing Club at Tauranga today after an inquiry into the death of the racehorse Freeland on March 29. Jennings was found guilty under the rules of racing of two charges—of administering strychnine to the horse, and of corruptly supplying false information to a racecourse inspector, Mr D.
