Bookings for Games
The organising committee for the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne is already receiving applications for ticket bookings for the games. The committee’s official news service states that box office arrangements are now being organised but the sale of tickets will not start until April, 1955. It is intended to reserve a proportion of seats at each venue of the games for overseas applicants, and agencies are to be appointed to handle bookings in overseas countries. For all the events it will be necessary to print 2,000,000 to 2,250,000 admission tickets.
