SWEDEN BEATS BELGIUM IN DAVIS CUP TIE ‘ (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) STOCKHOLM, July 19. Jackie Brichant, of Belgium, beat Lennart Bergelin, of Sweden, in a five-set match, lasting more than three hours, to level the scores 2-2 in the European zone Davis Cup semi-final today. Brichant won 5-7. 6-8, 7-5, 6-2, 10-8. Sweden won the tie by three matches to two, when Sven Davidson beat Philip Washer. 7-5, 5-7, 8-6, 6-2 in the last singles. Sweden will now meet France in the final of the European zone.
