BETTING OFF THE COURSE
£295,637 HANDLED ON SATURDAY (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 18. The Totalisator Agency Board handled a total of £295,637 in investments on yesterday’s meetings. This comprised £167,315 10s in win-and-place bets and £128,321 10s in doubles. Totals for the individual meetings, with off-course substitutes, were: Matamata, £79,347 10s (Ecilagwen). Wellington, £216,289 10s (Himiler).
