PAPANUI SCOUT GROUP
A good attendance of parents and visitors from other scout groups saw a display by the scouts and cubs of their activities at the recent, annual meeting of the Papanui Scout and Cub group. The Queen’s-'Scout badge was presented to Stuart Clark by the District Commissioner (Mr A. T. Dangerfield). The chairman (Mr C. F. Whitty) said that the work on the den being built in the Papanui Domain was progressing steadily. Further funds were required for the completion of the den. but the financial statement showed that the group was in a sound financial position. Officers elected were: Mr C. F. Whitty (chairman), Mr R. G. Robinson (secretary and treasurer), committee: Mr C. A. Holloway, Mr H. S. Mawson, Mrs C. H. Butt. Mrs B. Grimwood, Mr L. E, Cook and Mrs L. E. Cook, Mrs E. Hocken. Mr W. Banks, Mr and JVlrs Wilson, Mrs B. Bradley, and Mrs F. Bell.
