ARMY APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED

Major J. R. Spence, Royal New Zealand Artillery, who has handed over I the post of second-in-command of the I 16th New Zealand Field Regiment in Korea to Major J. Spring, will take up an appointment at Burnham Military Camp on his return to the Dominion. The appointment has also been announced of Major R. J. Abbott, New Zealand Army Service Corps, to the post of Deputy-Assistant-Adjutant and Quartermaster-General for K Force. Major Abbott has held a similar position at Southern Military District Headquarters for the last two years. He will relieve Major P. G. Monk, New Zealand Regiment, who will take up an appointment at Southern Military District Headquarters. Lieutenant R. M. Cooper, Royal New Zealand Signals, who is training adjutant at Burnham, will leave soon for Japan, where he will take up an administrative position with the Ist Commonwealth Division.
