MIGRATION OFFICER IN LONDON
APPOINTMENT OF MR J. V. BRENNAN
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 2. Mr J. V. Brennan has been appointed New Zealand’s chief immigration officer in the High Commissioner’s office in London. „ He will leave next month to succeed Mr M. C. Smith, who has completed 40 years’ service, and who will retire on nis return to the Dominion.
Mr Brennan has been chief migration officer in the Department of Labour and Employment. Wellington, for the last two years. He was stationed in London from 1948 to 1950, and later went to The Hague for a year to establish the New Zealand immigration office there.
