Safety Measures In German Buses
(From a Reuter Correspondent) NUREMBERG. New safety buses being tested in West Germany have “detonator knobs” fitted to the windows. On being turned once they shatter the glass into tiny, harmless pieces and provide an emergency exit. The buses also have three completely independent braking systems which, while stopping the vehicle, allow the engine to continue running.
