POSSIBLE CHRISTCHURCH VISIT IN JULY
“The whole thing depends on the amount of time the panel has left after it has completed its work in Auckland,” said the secretary of the Christchurch Drainage Board (Mr R. R. Senior), commenting yesterday on the proposed visit to Christchurch of a panel of overseas drainage experts who are at present in Auckland. The panel has been invited to examine the Christchurch drainage scheme. Mr Senior said he understood the panel was to report to the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board at the end of June or early in July, and that the members of the panel would return to their own countries later next month. If the panel or some members of it, came to Christchurch, the visit would ba early in July, he said.
