STAFF TALKS IN WASHINGTON
(Rec. 7 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 2. President Eisenhower, at his press conference today, said that the staff talks starting in Washington tomorrow among high-ranking military officers of the United States, Britain, France, Australia and New Zealand would be confined to military matters only. They would not go into the question of diplomatic policy on the Indo-China conflict, he said.
Mr Duncan Sandys, the British Minister of Supply, and General Sir John Harding, Chief of the Imperial General Staff, arrived in New York today by. air from London. General Harding will join in the military staff talks in Washington tomorrow.
