NATIONAL CANDIDATE FOR ONSLOW
MR W. H. FORTUNE WILLING 'TO STAND (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 9. The Minister in charge of Police (Mr W. H. Fortune), who is at present member of Parliament for Eden, has decided to allow his name to be put forward for nomination as the National Party candidate for the Onslow seat at the forthcoming General Election. Mr Fortune said today that he had learned that Mr Stewart Hardy had decided not to seek the nomination. He would meet his Eden electorate committee next week, Mr Fortune said.
