FRIDAY (Before Mr F. F. Reid, S.M.) REMANDED Kenneth Charles King, aged 19, a fowl plucker (Mr H. S. Thomas), was remanded to April 2 on a charge that, on March 18, while under the influence of liquor, he was in charge of a motor-car in Moorhouse avenue. Bail was renewed, DRUNKENNESS William Henry Alsweiler, aged 60, a joiner (Mr G. S. Brockett), pleaded guilty to a, charge that on March 26 he was found drunk in a public place, having been once previously convicted of a similar offence witbin the last six months. He was fined £l. TRAFFIC CASES In cases brought by the police, offenders against the traffic regulations were dealt with as follows: Failed to give way to right: Colleen Borlase, £2; Kenneth Percy Breeze, £3; Eric Earnshaw, £2 (no warrant of fitness, 10s); Trevor Wesley Johns. £2; Powhiri Love, £2; John Patton Marshall, £2; Nellie Mundy, £2; Maurice Leslie Roberts, £2; James Gray Watson. £2; Noel Bernard Rennell, £2. Driving without due care and attention: Sophie Cotter, £2; Charles Arthur Hornsby, £3; John Alexander Robertson, £2; James Clough Robinson, £3 (no warrant of fitness, 10s). Permitted another person to drive rental vehicle: Anthony Charles Fox, £1 (supplied false information, £2). No driver's licence: Trevor James Garlick, 10s. No warrant of fitness: John Ross Jacobson, 10s.
