Students taking the Accountancy Professional Examination are exempted from seven of the twelve subjects of the Institute’s examination provided they are admitted as members of the New Zealand Society of Accountants within three years of passing the Final Examinations of the Institute. The subjects to be taken by qualified accountants or accountancy students are Secretarial Practice and Economics for the Intermediate Examination and Secretarial Practice, Parts I and 11, and Economics for the final examination. - The examination papers are now set and marked by New Zealand examiners.
