“The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND, March 25. There is a good prospect of fine weather and firm ground for the first day of the Bay of Plenty Racing Club’s autumn meeting at Tauranga on Saturday. The double will be on the Tauranga Cup and the Flying Handicap Michael Brierly (Tauranga Cup), Liliuokalani and Paul Jones (Greerton Hack Handicap), and White Ensign (Flying Handicap) are unlikely starters. Thev are all trained by T. F. Verner. Tenia will not run in the second division of the Novice Stakes. Selections:— 11 a.m.—Whakatane Hack Hurdles: Tamarama.
