NEXT GENERAL ELECTION
SEVEN MORE LABOUR CANDIDATES (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 26. Seven official candidates of the Labour Party to contest the General Election this year were announced today by the national secretary of the party (Mr A. J. McDonald). They are:— Mr P. O. Skoglund, school-teacher, to stand for Palmerston North. /Mr J. B. F. Cotterill, present member, for Wanganui. Mr H. L. J. May, waterworks employee, for Onslow. Mr G. A. Turner, carpenter, for Marlborough. Mr R. Boord, the Labour Party’s research officer, for Rotorua, Mr P. Peacock, farmer, for Franklin. Mr A. Hellyn, farmer, for Rodney.
