REQUEST FOR CRECHE AT A. AND P. SHOW
The North Canterbury Housewives’ Union wants a creche set up for mothers of young children at the Can-4 terbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s next show.
The suggestion was made in a letter received at a meeting of the association yesterday. The letter said that the secretary of the association (Mr M. E. Lyons) had advised that some time ago a combination of kindergarten committees had made a similar suggestion, to further the work the Woolston and Burwood kindergarten committees had done for some time in caring for lost children. The union asked that it be allowed to meet the association to discuss the matter.
The letter was referred to the finance committee.
