BRITONS EAT MORE CHEESE
(Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 17. The British public is eating about 40 per cefit. mote “ration type” or Cheddar cheese than before the war. Major GWilym Lloyd George, the Minister of Food, told the House of Commons when answering a question as to whether he would reduce the retail price of cheese in view of the fact of the ration not being fully taken up. Major Lloyd George refused to reduce the price and said people were not taking all their rations because they had all the cheese they required. He said that the consumption of untationed cheese had also increased enormously.
