WOOL VALUES IN AUSTRALIA
(Rec. 10.15 p.m.) MELBOURNE, February 1?. Sixty per cent, of the offerings at the Melbourne wool sales today was crossbred. Values were fully firm on yesterday, the chief buyers being Europe, Britain, Japan, and local mills.
Prices were:—Super spinners’ Merino fleece, 74/80’s, 168 d; good spinners’ Merino fleece, 70’s, 1381 d; super crossbred combing fleece, 60/64’s, 123 - super crossbred combing fleece, 56/58’s, 87d; good crossbred combing fleece, 58/56’s, 82 jd; good crossbred combing fleece. 56/50’s, 76d.
