NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER AMBERLEY WATER SUPPLY LOAN , NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Kowai County Council, held on Tuesday, January 5,1954, at the Council Chambers, Balcairn, the following resolution was passed by way of Special Order, and it will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the council, to be held on FRIDAY, the 12th day of February, 1954, at 10 a.m., in the Council Chambers, Balcairn. , RESOLUTION: In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Counties Act, 1920, and its amendments, the Local Bodies Loan Act, 1926, and its Amendment Act, 1951. the consent of the Local Government Loans Board having been given, the Kowai County Council resolves by way of Special Order as follows:

(1) That the Kowai County Council authorise and proceed to raise a loan of £17,000, to be known as the “Amberley Water Supply Loan, 1953,” for the purpose of installing a water supply for Amberley riding and all necessary work incidental thereto. (2) That the term of the loan shall be 25 years, at an interest' rate not exceeding four pounds (£4) per centum per annum. (3) That the loan, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the terra of the loan. (4) That the payment of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money. (5) That for the purpose of providing reparges o n the said loan of £17,000, the Kowai County Council will appropriate and pledge as security a special rate of one and onesixteenth of a penny in the pound on the rateable capital value of all rateable property comprised within the Amberley Riding of the Kowai County. (6) That the rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procuration fees in respect of the raising of the loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggrate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised. e th?
