MISS R. CURRIE AGAIN BETTERS RECORD (Naw Zealand Press Association') DUNEDIN, Dec. 15. Miss Rae Currie, the New Zealand women’s breaststroke champion, continued her recent series of outstanding times tonight when she won the Otago women’s 220 yards breaststroke championship in 3min lOsec. Miss Currie, a strong contender for inclusion in the next Empire Games team, thus bettered her New Zealand record by 3.2 sec. Several weeks ago she swam the distance in 3min 9.9 sec, and an application was made for a national record. Miss Jean Stewart won the 100 yards women’s backstroke in 72sec.
