ureage BmuKC uiarns ldvuh, Irate pleasure-boat owners want grit and smoke arresters installed on the Auckland Harbour Board suction dredge at Westhaven. They claim that smoke and grit from the dredge’s twin stacks have ruined paintwork, blackened rigging and stained canvas covers. One owner, whose launch has been given a special grooming fpr the Royal tour ship’s arrival, spent four hours on Saturday trying to remove smuts and grit from his boat.
