NEW COMMANDER OF K FORCE
Brigadier Burrows In Japan , (N.Z. Army Information Service) KURE, November 13. The new Commander of K Force, Brigadier J. T. Burrows, arrived at Iwakuni airport in Southern Japan last night from New Zealand. Among those who met him were the retiring Commander, Brigadier R. S. Park, and the Deputy Assistant' Adjutant and Quartermaster-Qeneral of the force, Major P. G. Monk. The official hand-over of command will take place at the end of the month. After three days in Kure visiting the New Zealand Base Camp at Hiro and other units, Brigadier Burrows will visit Tokyo before going to K Force headquarters in Pusan. He will then go to Seoul to visit the headquarters of the Bth Army before a tour of New Zealand units with the Ist British Commonwealth Division. Today Brigadier Burrows accompanied by Brigadier Park visited the base camp at Hiro, where he drew his winter kit for Korea and inspected a guard of honour. In the afternoon he visited New Zealand patients in the British Commonwealth General Hospital.
