STOCK EXCHANGES DULL TRADING Markets were dull and inactive on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. Recorded dealings were restricted to a few stocks. The only sale on ’Change was that of a parcel of 3 per cent. 1955-58 Government Stock, which sold at £B7, 2s 6d up On Friday’s buying quotation. - Bank of New South Wales rights were traded unchanged at £7 ss, with further buyers at £7 4s 60, sellers holding for £7 6s. Two parcels of AN2. Bank sold unchanged at 375. and closing quotations were buyers at 36s 9d and sellers at 37s 3d. National Insurance scored a rise of 4£d to sell at 25s 9d, with further buyers at 25s 6d—sellers 9d away. Coles changed hands at the fractionally better price of 17s Id. and at the close there were buyers at 17s and sellers at 17s 3d. Buyers for Woolworths, Ltd., dropped their offers to 14s 9d, whilst sellers increased their price fractionally to 15s 2d. Woolworths, New Zealand, reappeared on the quotations list with buyers at 19s 3d and sellers at 19s 6d„ , British Tobacco rights, which sold on Change on Friday at the improved price of 7s, dropped back to buying offers of 6s 5d And sellers at 6s 9d.
