Writ Withdrawn A writ claiming £ 100 damages which was recently issued in Rotorua against the former Mayor (Mr A F. Moncur) by a former councillor, Mr K. L. Usmar, was withdrawn after Mr Moncur sent Mr Usmar a written withdrawal of all allegations and an apology. The proceedings arose from an election address by Mr Moncur. In his apology Mr Moncur there was no foundation for the charges he then made against Mr Usmar.
