The weather forecast for Canterbury Issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 27 hours following the time of issue. is:— Situation; a weak ridge of high pressure is moving eastwards off New Zealand, and an extensive depression over the Tasman Sea is approaching New Zealand from the west. Forecast: moderate winds from a northerly quarter'; weather fair to cloudy and mild, with some rain about the Alps. Outlook: cloudy. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate winds from a northerly quarter; scattered rain in the morning, becoming widespread during the daj; mild temperatures. Outlook: unsettled, with occasional showers.

CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER
