WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Winds turning to moderate southwesterlies; cloudy, with some showers; temperatures tending cooler. Outlook: becoming fair. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch yesterday was fine, with a light north-east wind and a maximum temperature of 68.2 degrees. At midnight, the sky was cloudy, and a light northerly wind was blowing. The temperature was 51.7 degrees. The barometer, at 29.62 inches 1003.1 millibars), was falling steadily.
