FINAL OF WOMEN’S PENNANT MATCHES KAIAPOI BEATS RUSSLEY IN A GRADE The final matches in the women’s Interclub pennant competition were played on the Shirley links yesterday. The A grade was won by the Kaiapoi team, which beat Russley by one hole after a count-back. Avondale beat Waitikiri by 6 games to 3. The pennants were presented to the captains of the winning team by Miss L. V. Gates, chairman of the inter-club pennant match committee. Results were:— A GRADE Kaiapoi v. Russley Mrs R. J. Smith beat Mrs T. H. Barnes, 1 up; Mrs R. Oastler lost to Miss C. Wood, 2 and 1; Mrs J. Dempster lost to Mrs F. Williamson. 3 and 2; Mrs R. C. Stewart beat Mrs R. K. Vile, 3 and 2; Mrs Smith and Mrs Stewart beat Mesdames Barnes and Vile, 4 and 3; Mrs Oastler'and Mrs Dempster lost to Mrs Williamson and Miss Wood, 2 and 1. B GRADE Avondale v. Waitikiri Mrs J. W. McCabe lost to Mrs J. P. Forbes, 4 and 3; Mrs A. H. Mangin beat Mrs M. K. Boon, 4 and 3; Mrs C. Barrett lost to Mrs B. Wilkins, 3 and 2; Mrs J. Claydon beat Mrs R. Casbolt, 6 and 5; Mrs J. Logie beat Mrs J. Johnston, 5 and 3; Mrs W. Wright beat Mrs C. R.
