“QUEEN OF THE AIR RACE”
DUNEDIN PLANS WELCOME TO MISS LLOYD (New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, October 12. Miss Patricia Lloyd, winner of the “Queen of the Air Race” contest, will be given a special welcome when she returns to Dunedin. The Otago “Queen of the Air Race” contest committee, which was organised by the Junior Chamber of Commerce and the sponsors of the girls who came forward for the Dunedin title, will welcome Miss Lloyd at a social function on Thursday week. The Mayor and Mayoress i (Mr and Mrs L M. Wright) will [attend, and the Mayor will convey to I Miss Lloyd the city’s congratulations.
