FLOWER SHOW AND FAIR AT LINCOLN

The Lincoln Presbyterian Church flower show and fair, held last week, was officially opened by the Rev. J. S. Freeman and was a great success. The floral display by Sir R. Heaton Rhodes was excellently staged.

Trophy winners were:—D. Butcher (McLaren trophy for most points in daffodil section), P. Butcher (challenge cup presented' by the secretary for most points in show), and Mrs Freeman (cut flower section) with Miss R. Dulieu as runner up.

Other awards were as follows: — decorative: Mrs Kennedy 1, Mrs John Fiecken 2; junior: Miss Janet Page 1, Miss Una Burch 2; children’s section: Juliet Copp 1, Alan Barwick and John Paton 2 equal; fruit and vegetables: Mrs Cameron 1 Mr Dulieu 2; homecrafts: Mrs V. Clark 1, Mrs Freeman and Mrs Hanson 2; cookery: Mrs Hartley 1, Mrs J. Fiecken 2; photography: I. D. Blair 1, Rickerby 2.
