HANDICAP WON BY PUKETOI (New Zealand Press Association) WANGANUI, September 20. Ideal weather prevailed on Saturday for the Marton Jockey Club’B spring meeting. The large attendance included the Governor-General (Sir Willoughby Norrie), whose horse. Pirate, ran unplaced in the Spring Hack Handicap. The track was slightly holding, but the going was good. Chote, who rode Flying Gleam, was thrown heavily. Chote was unable to fulfil further engagements. An inquiry into the fall was opened, but was adjourned until Chote is available to give evidence.
