Presbyterian Missions

New Zealand Presbyterians in the last year established a record for missionary contributions. The church’s general treasurer (Mr L. B. Mushet) said that for the year ended August 18 the 373 parishes of the church contributed £86.676, £11,492 more than in the previous year, and far in excess of all earlier efforts. Giving by congregations had more than doubled since 1924. when the amount contributed was £42,238. In addition to this sum, receipts from other sources (legacies, trust funds, etc.) brought the total received for missionary work in the last year to £121,274. The actual expenditure for the period was £124,035. Every presbytery had increased its contributions over the previous year.—(P.A.)
