MALVERN SUBASSOCIATION The annual meeting of the Malvern Lawn Tennis Sub-Association was held recently. A satisfactory credit balance was reported. The draw for matches will be published in “The Press” on October 7, and matches will start on October 17. The election of officers resulted as follows:—patron. Mr G. Batstone; president, Mr G. R. Steventon; girls’ handicap singles, Miss M. Logie; Garton Cup, for most improved player, Miss M. Steventon. SPREYDON CLUB The Spreydon Tennis Club opened its season on Saturday afternoon. Mr RTregoning, the club president, declared the season open and congratulated the club on the healthy state of its finances and the general condition of its property.
