ANNUAL MEETING HELD A deficiency of £641 12s 6d on the year’s operations was reported at z the annual meeting of the Rangiora Trotting Club in Rangiora last evening. A profit of £1162 13s 9d for the Cheviot-Rangiora Trotting Club was reported. In his annual report, the president (Mr C. M. Archer) said the agreement beRangiora Trotting Club and the North Canterbury Racing Club for sharing equally in ownership of the racing club’s property, which was implemented last year, had been operating successfully for both clubs. The totalisator turnover at the Rangiora Trotting Club s meeting on December 20 was £36,127 10s on-course, and £16,917 5s offcourse. For the Cheviot Trotting Club’s meeting on June 6, the figures were: oncourse, £35,563 10s: off-course, £17.815 10s. The election of officers resulted: patrons, Sir John McKenzie and Mr A. Matson; president, Mr Archer; vice-presidents. Messrs N. K. Aitken. A. J. Deyell, A. C. Fraser, and N. G. Mason; treasurer, Mr J. McClung; stewards, Messrs J. W. Brosnan, J. A. Evans, P. D. A proposal to increase the annual subscription from £1 to £1 10s was rejected.
