WATERLOO CUP MEETING CONCLUDED
The third and final day of the New Zealand Waterloo Cup meeting was held on the Christchurch Coursing Club’s grounds at Sockburn yesterday. D. Dudley’s Yellow Hope won the cup, beating the younger dog. Lord Rocca (E. Gray and E. Grimes), by a narrow margin. The following were the results of yesterday’s events:— Waterloo Plate.—Second round: J. Bradbury’s Grappler’s Choice 7, M. and T. Fraser’s Real Lady 2; P. T. Wylde’s Sandy Heritage 2, A. and D. Flutey’s Just Gay 0; M. and E. Hands’s Passaform 5. L. Harding’s Great Hope 2. Semi-final: Grappler’s Choice 2, Sandy Heritage 0; Passaform, a bye. Final: Grappler’s Choice 4, Passaform 0.
Waterloo Purse.—Third round: B. Williams’s Our Hero 4, F. W. Wigg’s Radiant Night 1; F. J. and M. Cleary’s Pallos Athene 2, L. A. Fuller’s Boniface 0; H. Wilson’s Ambitious Joe 6, R. J. Mills’s Barcarolle IL Semi-final: Pallos Athene 2, Our Hero 0; Ambitious Joe, a bye. Final: Ambitious Joe 5, Pallos Athene 3.
