PAPANUI METHODIST CHURCH
FOUNDATION STONE OF NEW PARSONAGE
The foundation stone of a new parsonage in Chapel street, for the Papanui Methodist Church, was laid op Saturday by the minister of the church, the Rev. W. T. Blight. It will be the fourth parsonage to be built in the history of the Papanui church. About 100 persons were present at the ceremony. The Rev. H. L. Fiebig briefly addressed the gathering, which includea the Revs. H. L. Blamires and JRichards, former ministers of the church. The trust secretary (Mr H. W. Benseman) outlined the history of the building scheme and said that it was hoped to open-and dedicate the house on May 15 next year as pajt of the church s centennial celebrations.
