100-KILOMETRE RACE AT GLENTUNNEL
About 70 riders took part in the amateur 100 kilometre road cycle race at Glentunnel on Saturday. The event was won by B. A’Court, of the Christchurch Club, handicap 25min, in 2hr 39min 7sec. R. Fowler (Avon) gained fastest time
with 2hr 27min 25sec, and G. Moore, of Auckland, the only North Island rider, gained second fastest time, a fifth of a second behind Fowler. Results:—B.
