The fusion of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries with the Chartered Institute of Secretaries becomes effective in October. 1953. This affects YOU in this way: If you are sitting the examinations regularly you will have up to and including the November examinations to complete the present syllabus. At the expiry of that time you will receive full credit for all subjects already passed. If you have not yet sat any New Zealand Institute examination, you may still commence the present syllabus at the November, 1953, examinations. Candidates who have completed their professional accountancy require to pass secretarial practice stage II to qualify for admission. They may sit this subject at the November, 1953, examinations, but this will be the last examination for which new students may enter. Entries for the November, 1953, examinations close definitely on August 31. Students who complete their examinations and are eligible for admission should apply for admission forthwith.
