MAIREHAU CLUB BEATEN AT TIMARU Visiting cyclists from the Christchurch Mairehati Novice Wheelmen’s Club were unable to match the efforts of Timaru boy cyclists on Saturday, and were beaten in all four grades for the Andreassend-Loach Challenge Shield. Most interest centred in the 10-mile senior teams' race, which Timaru won with 14 seconds in hand. Results were:— Senior A.—Timaru, 31min ssec, 1; Matrehau, 31min 19sec, 2.
