PRINCESS AND MOTHER HOME
QUEEN AND DUKE AT AIRPORT LONDON, July 17. The Comet with the Queen Mother and Princess .Margaret aboard returning from their Central African tour reached London Airport at 8.56 a.m. today. Large crowds at the airport watched its arrival. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh arrived by car 10 minutes before the plane was due and went on board immediately it landed. After five minutes the Royal party left the plane and was greeted by members of the crew and airport and airline officials.
Princess Margaret wore pink and the Queen Mother blue. The sun shone brightly and the crowd cheered as the Royal party moved to cars which left the airport about 15 minutes after the Comet’s arrival.
