Chess Clubs’ Evening.— The Canterbury Chess Club entertained the Gambit Chess Club on Tuesday evening, when z a lightning tournament was held. The tournament was won by I. B. Kay, with R. Lovell-Smith runnerup. Semi-finalists were W. E. Moore, A. W. Stacey. A. S. Hollander. E. J. Denys, L. Briting, and Miss WellardKing.
