GARDEN PARTY AT PALACE

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, July 16. Three hundred New Zealanders attended the Royal garden party at Buckingham Palace this afternoon. Sir Edmund Hillary and Mr George Lowe were present, with other members of the Everest expedition. The High Commissioner (Sir Frederick Doidge) presented to Her Majesty Sir Howard and Lady Kippenberger, Mr Justice Finlay and Mrs Finlay, and Mrs and Mrs E. C. Fussell. A white ensemble was chosen by the Queen. Over her navy-patterned frock she wore a wide-skirted coat of white grosgrain, with bands of navy blue van Dyck braiding around the cuffs. Her beret-style white toque also had a touch of navy for contrast, and she added white shoes and bag.
