FIRST CORONATION MEDAL PRESENTED IN N.Z.—The first Coronation medal to be presented in New Zealand was pinned on the breast of 96-year-old Envoy Stephen Buick of the Salvation Army last Wednesday, as he lay in bed at the New Plymouth Public Hospital. The medal was flown to New Zealand for Envoy Buick’s ninety-sixth birthday but arrived a day late. The matron of the hospital (Miss I. M. Henderson) pins on the medal. The Mayor of New Plymouth (Mr E. R. C. Gilmour) read the certificate from Queen Elizabeth.
