GENERAL WAGE HEARING
Federation’s Request To Government SUGGESTED APPOINTMENT OF JUDGE (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. July 10. The national executive of the New Zealand Federation of Labour has asked the Government to appoint a Judge temporarily to the Court of Arbitration, so that the federation’s general wage case can be heard earlier than will otherwise be possible. Alternatively, the federation has requested that a regulation be gazetted making any amount gained in its forthcoming wage case retrospective to the date of the filing of the application.
