1 ? o + V a,d T s on and G. Brown were the best of the Lincoln forwards. Donaldson, L W ci ng /'i? r ir er ' scored a fine try in the second half, and Brown showed that be had a good turn of speed, although a big man.

The Lincoln full-back, G. Wright, did not give such* a good performance yesterday as he did in the Town-Country l ast week, but this could be attributed to an injured shoulder Wright, nevertheless, was sound, and his linekicking was nearly always safe. He came in as an extra man several times, once scoring a well-earned try, which he converted.

College opened the scoring with a try by Tapsell, after about 10 minutes of play. Lincoln equalised with a try by Averill, and soon after halftime, Wright scored his try. Lincoln went further into the lead when Donaldson scored to make the score 11-3. Canterbury College produced one of the best movements of the match with Tapsell, ;;< S a’ nd the right wing three-quarters (/’'U Andrews) handling from a set scrum, Andrews finally scoring. The University full-back (J. Croucher) left the field in the second half and was replaced by A. O’B. Loughnan. In a curtain-raiser match, University colts beat Lincoln colts by 8 points to 6.
