ENEMY LOSES SIX JETS

(Rec. 11 p.m.) SEOUL, June 22. American Sabre jets shot down three Communist MiG’s this morning while screening a daylight attack by Sabre fighter-bombers deep into North Korea. The fighter-bombers raided a Communist communications centre at Sakchu, just south of the Yalu river. Sabre jets shot down three more MiG’s in the afternoon, making a bag ©f six for the day. Two other MiG’s were damaged. The air battles produced the thirtyfifth “ace’ r of the Korean war, Colonel Robert Baldwin, of California, who qualified by destroying his fifth MIG.
