FINLAYSON WINS SOUTH ISLAND TITLE (New Zealand Press Association) OAMARU, June 21. The Kelso marksman, P. W. Finlayson, scored a double possible with 19 inner bulls, to win the South Island Miniature Rifle Association’s A grade championship at Oamaru on Saturday. Mrs R. Ormandy won the B grade with a total of 199.16. The South Island A grade teams’ match was won by Dunedin Railway, with Cashmere No. 1 in second place. The B grade championship went to Alandale (Fafrlie), with Papakaio No. 1 in second place. More than 200 shooters took part, and the match was the first shoulder to shoulder event since the war. Before this, postal matches were fired. Results were: A Grade.—P. W. Finlayson (Kelso), 200.19, E„ Simpson (Glenavy) 200.17, Mrs L. Mathieson (Dunedin Railway) 200.17, A.
